Investigators at the Scarsdale Police Department received a report of a stolen coat and key fob at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 from a Tunstall Road resident.

Police said that the woman stated that she had attended an event at the church earlier in the day on Church Lane. She said that she arrived at the event at 4:15 p.m. and hung her coat, which had a Nissan key fob and house keys, on the coat rack. When she went to leave less than two hours later, her coat was no longer there.

According to police, the missing item was described as a black knee-length coat with brown fur around the hood. There were no extra coats left at the end of the event, investigators noted. When the woman returned to her car, which was parked outside, she found that the vehicle had been illegally entered and ransacked, though no property was reported missing.
